The Temple

The Temple

The Temple –  the home we await, long for, and yearn for with all our hearts.

In this painting, I chose to incorporate a wooden floor, recalling the early beginnings of the Mishkan, the Tabernacle, and the acacia wood used in its construction. For me, the wood creates a connection between the Tabernacle in the wilderness and our longing for the future Temple – a home of holiness, light, and Divine Presence.

The shades of blue and turquoise that surround the painting express longing and yearning – the feeling that the home we await is already present within our hearts, even before we can see it with our eyes.

This painting is a prayer, a memory, and a hope –  a longing for the home, and a deep faith that one day we will see it standing in all its glory.
