The Last War
Throughout many generations, the people of Israel fights for his land and longs for peace. In every war, there is a wish that this will be the last war, even when exile might still continue.
Yet, with all that, the people of eternity is not despaired or loses his fate. He continues to fight and fight for peace, in a clear belief that this land is his. As Hashem says to our father Avraham in the book of Genesis: “Unto thy seed will I give this land”.
In this painting, I drew a Jewish soldier that represents this fate, a believing soldier, whom in his heart a prayer and yearning lie. Inside the shield of David, I drew the olive tree and the white dove that are close to Him in a touching distance, as a hint that salvation is near.
