“AS THE HART PANTETH”
“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God” – A verse from the book of Psalms that depicts the longing of the soul to join its creator.
The soul’s wish is in fact to spiritually elevate and reach adherence with its creator. As the hart in nature is thirsty for water, so is the person thirsty to sip from Torat Hashem and elevate.
In this painting, we can see a young deer, yearning above, and all around him is the beauty of nature.
